AI Dispatch #41: Cyber Espionage Led by AI?
Welcome back to another edition of AI Dispatch! DevConnect is starting, and don’t worry - you can expect plenty of alpha coming from our team, which is boots on the ground in Argentina. If you see anyone in a Castle hat, make sure to buy them a drink!
Now on to the good stuff!
AI Cyber Espionage?
This feels like something straight out of a top bestseller novel, but Anthropic found some suspicious activity that they traced to an espionage campaign. The attackers not only used AI as an advisor, they also used it to actually execute the attacks!
They manipulated the Claude Code tool and were successful in a few attempts! Just another thing to worry about eh?
Virtuals just announced their ACP Scan, which is an early version of a global agent registry. This will let users see real job examples so they can determine if an agent is worth hiring, while also being able to rate/review any agents they’ve used via Butler on X.
Following up on the above, Ethermage of Virtuals discusses how the cost of agentic commerce should trend to zero, which reduces the cost of contracts, settlement of payments, and more.
This announcement between Virtuals x BasisOS x Zyfai, created the Agentic Fund of Funds - built on Virtual’s ACP, orchestrated by BasisOS, and using Zyfai’s Yield Agents.
This collaboration lets any user/Agent in the Virtuals ecosystem send a request to the Butler Agent and earn yield on their funds. This request is routed through the Fund of Funds, where Zyfai’s Yield Agents deploy the capital across whitelisted protocols.
Following on the heels of the Agentic Fund of Funds release, Zyfai announced a broader partnership between them and Virtual, getting immediate access to Virtual’s network of users and Agents, along with leveraging the ACP, amongst other benefits.
Virtuals will also be incentivising USDC, which is used with Butler’s Agentic Fund of Funds, offering up to 15% APY!
Nader from Eigen talks EigenAI and how they’re bringing LLM inference onchain. This lets you see and verifiably check that inference results are done correctly, while also being replicable.
a16z also had a great post on Marketplaces and how AI is reviving previously dead internet verticals. AI can solve problems that marketplaces faced where humans were unable to improve on.
Teng, from Chain of Thought AI, gave a great recap on their October, discussing projects like Openmind, Surf, and TinyFish.
If you’ve been using any AI models and have thought, “I wish I could find an open-source option that was way cheaper”, this is the post for you. Okara gives some alternatives to what is currently used that you may want to keep an eye on.
Ethereum is the home of DeFi, and Sreeram says it will be the solution for all of AI’s problems. This space should be exciting to listen to, especially to hear Sreeram’s talking points on ETH & AI.
Nillion, a privacy protocol with its own private LLM, is moving to ETH mainnet in 2026. nilGPT is one of the few (if only) privacy-preserving GPTs on the market, and is now coming to Ethereum.
AI is still keeping people’s attention as Cursor just did another raise (5 in total!). The bubble has yet to pop, with more money ploughing into these rounds.
There’s a lot going on in AI right now, so it can be hard to keep abreast of all the news, but Ejaaz does a great job here of brain-dumping some useful information.
He goes over:
If the AI bubble has burst
America’s energy grid isn’t up to snuff
AGI timeline is 5-10 years now
Focus has now shifted back to revenue for these companies
It appears that OpenAI is testing a group chat function, enabling you and others to have a fully integrated conversation with ChatGPT. Will this be useful enough to stick around? We’ll have to see!
Almanak also dropped their Strategy Builder v1. Users can leverage Almanak’s AI Swarm Strategy Team to build and implement whatever strategy they choose.
If you want an in-depth look at how to create an above strategy, we did an article that shows you just how to do that! Give it a read!
Even with markets taking a massive hit, AI is still moving along as quickly as before. AI is inevitable and agentic commerce is coming.
This is only the beginning…
We’ll see you next week with another edition of the AI Dispatch!
Expect a ton of updates on our X from DevCon in Argentina, as we discuss any important information/alpha that we come across!
